Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, egg, yogurt, vinegar, and butter.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough thinly and cut it into rectangular strips.
  4. Make a small slit in the center of each strip and pull one end through the slit to form the “angel wing” shape.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cookies until golden brown.
  6. Place on paper towels to remove excess oil and dust generously with powdered sugar.

  • Don’t skip the vinegar — it makes the dough extra crispy.
